HELLO AGAIN!

Hello my dear friends and family.

Hope this year has been kind to you so far. I've had an extremely busy time so far and I can't believe the first month of the year has gone!

There have been ups and downs over the last month. I've been off for over a week with a severe viral and throat infection. I honestly thought I was dying! The good news is that work is getting a bit better. We are changing our shifts soon, so I'll have more time off soon. We will be doing 12 hours shifts - 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 days off. I'm really looking forward to it.

I am also going up to Birmingham next week with work for a Roadshow because of being taken over by another department within the company. Yippee! I love days out.

The weather has been acting extremely strange, even for Britain. We've had floods and snow and then on the other hand, it's been the mildest January in absolutely years! I'll try and attach some pics, but I think they're too big. If anyone's got a programme which can make pics smaller, let me know, please. Thanks.

Theunis really surprised me this week. It was my birthday on Monday, the 29th. He bought me the most beautiful ring with a heart-shaped Ruby at the top surrounded by diamonds. Then to top everything off, he took me out for dinner to a fabulous restaurant. It was a great day all in all.

Sorry I haven't been in touch with most of you individually. It really has been hectic so far. I'm extremely behind with all my housework. I'm off today, so I'm trying to play catch-up.

My mom and dad are on holiday in South Africa at the moment (in Hartenbos). I must say that I'm extremely jealous, and can't wait for our next holiday (if everything goes well - end 2008).
